Rudi Supek’s Night is an annual event where sociologists gather under the stars (or concrete, depends on the weather), and celebrate the formation of the Department of Sociology, as well as its founder, Rudi Supek, through hours of dancing, fun and inevitable discussions.
In the beginning, the Night was a spontaneous gathering after the, then known, days of Rudi Supek (former name of the Croatian Sociologist Congress). The gathering, being as ingenious as it is, continued in the following years, and quickly became a tradition. For the last couple of years (since 2006.), the Night was a music manifestation in the Club Močvara (except for 2010. when we didn’t have a gathering, and 2011. when it was held at the Club Željezničar), but, following the decision of the Club, in the following years the Night is going to return to its roots and non-commercial foundations, as a collective manifestation of all sociologists at the Department and beyond.
